Addicted to those ripples...

I think if I was told I could only ever ripple, in terms of crochet, ever again, I don't think I'd mind too much!  I can't get enough of the rhythmic flow of all those ups and downs and am loving the results... especially considering my only intention was use up my yarn stash!

Do any of your fellow Crocheters have any lovely projects on the go?

Sunday snippets

Happy Sunday everyone!  So here are some snippets from the last week or so

These beauties were my first daffodils of the year.... I'm now on my third bunch and can't get enough of their sunny faces.

The best Valentines' gifts come in the form of Stationery :o)

Spending a half-term day crafting with my Niece and Nephew - we cut, we stuck, we drew, we coloured, we glittered, we made friendship bracelets, we had lots of fun!

I love the way my Nephew draws birds... adorable!

I spotted this sweet little set up on walk with my dog!

Finishing off the week with a delicious slice of coffee and walnut cake and a peppermint tea!

Hope you've all had a good one and are managing to stay warm!
Ta ta for now, Jo x

One foot in February

So, here we are firmly in February, having waved goodbye to January and I for one, was sad to see it go.  Life rushes by all too quickly and January seems to have been no exception.  All I seem to hear lately are people bemoaning what they call a long, bleak month.  Yes, it's cold.  Yes, it's dark, Yes, it's a little bit of a come down after the joy of Christmas but the days are drawing out now and the promise of Spring is most definitely in the air.  The first daffodils are peeping up from the ground and for me, January always bring with it the excitement of things to come in this brand spanking new year.

I have been a very busy little papercutter in the last few weeks with some sweet commissions and some new things for the shop including pretty papercut bunting.

I'm not sure if I've mentioned my love of crochet here before but I've recently learnt to ripple (using the wonderful pattern from Attic24) I locked myself in a quiet room for all the necessary counting at the beginning and that dastardly long foundation chain (255!) but once I was on the second row, I relaxed into it and am now totally hooked!  It's going to be double bed sized as I'd like it to act as a bedspread on colder nights.  I'm just using up a lot of odds and ends of Stylecraft DK yarn and trying to be as random as my OCD orderly brain will let me!
Here it is so far....

A bit of a way to go....
Enjoy your Sunday poppets!

Oh, the sea

Hi all,

Inspired by my love of the coast, I created this treasury today on Etsy.  Oh, to be by the sea....
